Senator Dennis Black, Polk County Supervisor Tom Hockensmith, & State Representatives Kim Pearson & Erik Helland have been invited to keep their constituents up to date with issues affecting education, state budget & local economic development.  This event is FREE & OPEN to the PUBLIC.

The campaigning starts on February 8th with the debut of the BEST OF EAST POLK COUNTY promotional advertisement & online voting capabilities. The online ballot will be up at

Help Gather Prom Dresses
Southeast Polk is combing forces with other CIML schools to collect Prom Dresses that are no longer being used & are still in good shape.

Prairie Meadows Scholarship Applications Available
The deadline to apply for a Prairie Meadows Scholarship is Friday, April 6, 2012.  Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino offers every high school in Polk County two $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors who will be enrolling at an accredited Iowa institution for the fall 2012 semester.  Applications are available online at
www.prairiemeadows.com & are also available at each participating high school in Polk County.
