Question #1: Why are you running for office?
I have served the City of Altoona for six years as a City Council member. I have served for two years as the Mayor. I enjoy the new challenges that being Mayor has provided. We have begun many projects and initiatives to move Altoona forward in many positive ways. I look forward to continuing the work we have started.
Question #2: What will you be contributing to this role that will provide a positive impact?
I will continue to contribute experience, leadership and hard work. I have been involved in the community in many ways over the years. From the Altoona Soccer Club Board, Altoona Community Campus Board, Altoona City Parks Board, SE Polk Education Foundation and others, I have gained knowledge and experience in what is happening in the community and what is needed for the future. With each of the groups I have been involved in, I have strived to be open minded, educated myself on their goals, and worked hard to further those agendas.
