Southeast Polk School Board Candidate: Eric Leanos
Get to know me...
I’ve been working in the construction industry as a carpenter for over 15 years. I am currently a Business Representative for the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, where I’m fortunate to serve in many roles. Whether it’s helping business leaders connect with the right contractor to build their next project, or helping recruit and train the next generation of carpenters. I enjoy working with great people from all walks of life.
I’m graduate from East High School in Des Moines and now living in Runnells. With my wife Yadira and our four kids, we know how special it is for our children to be able to attend Southeast Polk Schools. Like other leaders on our school board, I believe I can bring a real added value to the Southeast Polk School Board.
Question #1: Why are you running for this seat?
I would enjoy the opportunity to be part of the process and development of the future citizens of our community.
Question #2). What will you be contributing to this role that will provide a positive impact?
Knowing firsthand some of the many struggles that students face in today’s world. I look forward to bringing businesses and students together to better prepare for real careers in our community.
