Outstanding Citizen of the Year - Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the improvement of and for the entire community, outside of their trade or profession over the previous year or years. Nominee must be a citizen of the Southeast Polk area for at least three years.
Small Business of the Year - The nominee must be a member of the Altoona Area Chamber and a business in good standing. Nominees demonstrate an active involvement in community betterment. A small business is classified as 50 employees and under.
Entrepreneurial Spirit - This business embodies leadership and creativity in operations; is recognized by peers, clients and/or customers as a pioneer of innovation and visionary in their field.
Corporate Star - This award will be given to a company that demonstrates all-round excellence in business. Considerations will include future objectives, the competitive advantage of the business, a commitment to customer service, and will provide examples of specific strategies which have driven business growth.
Young Professional of the Year - Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the AAYP group and its mission. They are focused on professional development, volunteerism and networking with the mission of creating well-rounded individuals engaged in Altoona and the Southeast Polk Community.
All nominations are due by January 22, 2021.
