IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
The Altoona Area Chamber of Commerce has out of an over-abundance of caution for our community, volunteers and business sponsors, made the difficult decision for the 8th annual Chamber Charity 5K (formerly the Nippy Hippie 5K) planned for this Saturday, November 7th to be 100% VIRTUAL. Given the rising number of COVID cases in and around Polk County, there is just no way to do this safely and within state and CDC guidelines for mitigation.
The cool news is, you have from this Saturday, November 7th (original race day) through Sunday, November 15th to complete the race/route on your own time. The packet pickup is still happening at PETSAKES ™ FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6th from 4pm -7pm in the parking lot, or you can pick it up Friday morning at the Chamber office located at 119 2nd Street SE, Ste. A in Olde Town Altoona.
We will host a FB Live event on Monday, November 16th to announce the medal winners and draw names for the awesome Nike swag.
Your registration fees go towards our donation to the Altoona Baseball League, your race swag (bag, t-shirt, cap), the medals, timing, signage and Nike swag for the drawing. Submit your virtual run time between Nov 6 and Nov 15
1. Go to this link: https://results.truetimeracing.com/16535/ChamberCharity2020
2. Search for your name and click the "Submit Virtual Results" link next to your name
3. Enter your total running time
4. Optionally you can also share your workout link from Strava or Garmin by pasting your workout link in the Run Map field
5. Click the submit button
After following these steps your race time will be displayed on the results page. The placings will be updated periodically during the results submission period.
