Outlets of Des Moines Participates in DEA National Take Back Day

October 23, 2021, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (US Central)

Location:
Outlets of Des Moines

Outlets of Des Moines  will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. Area families, friends and neighbors are encouraged to participate. Those visiting Outlets of Des Moines to safely dispose of prescription drugs will drive-up to the northwest corner of the center near Parking Lot C (directional signs will be posted) to hand their items to an Altoona police officer stationed at the drop-off. Guests will not need to leave their car.

The DEA’s Take Back Day events are held nationwide and provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. Take Back Days encourage thousands of people from across the country to clean out their medicine cabinets and safely and anonymously dispose of prescription drugs. Visit www.DEA.gov to learn more.
