Gone But Not Forgotten: Funeral and Burial Traditions Throughout History

Join us this October for our monthly presentation at the Altoona Area Historical Society!

Billy Wilson, Curator of the Iowa Funeral Museum and Education Center in Marshalltown, will take us through the history of funerals, historic burial traditions, and embalming, which dates back to the Civil War. He will bring historic embalming tools along with other interesting items related to burial traditions throughout history.

Admission is always free! Can't wait to see you there!
