How Your Bio Should Look on Your Social Media Platforms and Trending Faceless Video Content You Just Have to Try

By: Kennedy Wilson, Events and Marketing Coordinator AACC

When it comes to social media platforms do bios really matter? Answer...yes, they really do! Conversions can happen quicker by what's in your bio. In 2025, your business' bio on social media should do more than just introduce you. Whether you're in retail, industrial tech, or other services, your bio should reflect your expertise and give clear instructions on what to do next. It should also answer three key questions:

  1. Who do you help, and how do you help them to get their desired result?
  2. Why should they listen to you?
  3. Where do you direct people?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Begin your bio with a clear statement about who you are and what you do!
    • Example: At the Altoona Chamber of Commerce we help the business community achieve success through advocacy, education, and marketing...
  2. Next, mention what makes you special or why people should trust you.
    • Example: ...with over 25 years in combined experience in marketing, economic development, and event planning.
  3. Lastly, finish out strong with a call to action.
    • Example: Call us today to set up a one on one meeting to talk about your goals for your business and how we can help you reach those goals through membership!

Extra Tips:

  • Use emojis to make it easier/ fun to read
  • Add your location (the less they have to go looking the better)
  • Use keywords next to your name- Example: Kennedy Wilson - Events, Marketing, Social Media Management, and Digital Content Creator
  • Include a link to your website, booking calendar, or free resources that your offer-- this is another great tool to convert.
  • For your Instagram bio you'll include the same details, but your bio will be more choppy due to the character limit they have

Trending Faceless Video Content You Just Have to Try

Creating content can sometimes be daunting if you think you have to be in every single video or post shared on your page. Here are some faceless video content ideas for your social media platforms!

1. Show close-up(s) of your product in action!

  • If you're selling ice cream, create a close-up of a dipped cone or a slow motion video of the swirl being created.
  • Selling painting services? Show a close up video of painting hard to get to corners.

2. Show workspace or production processes.

  • Give a tour of your facility, film a car getting an oil change or a house getting a new roof, a video of you binding books or a hair coloring process on a client.

3. Write inspirational industry quotes.

  • Hook your audience and convert them wit relatable content that will inspire them to take action.

4. Create step-by-step guides using hands.

  • Clothing retailers can use this to educate the best combinations of clothing or what accessories go best with what outfit.
  • Car dealerships could use this method to educate clients on how to set up their radio or different aspects of their new car.

5. Compare your products with others.

  • This is a great opportunity for you to show how you differ from your competitors!

6. Showcase written/audio customer reviews.

  • Word of mouth marketing is amazing! People will more likely convert after seeing a positive review or testimony as opposed to going in blindly.

As I've said before, stay consistent with posting on your social media, plan content that aligns with your business goals, planning out your content will save you time, reduce stress, and boost engagement, and lastly, track your progress within your insights and adjust your content based on your data!
